Privacy Policy

User Experience University respects the privacy of everyone who visits this website or takes part in our programs. This policy explains what we collect and why.

Effective date: January 1, 2026

Information we collect

We collect only what you choose to give us. That is typically your name, email address, and the content of a message when you use our contact form, register for a workshop, apply to volunteer, or contact us about a partnership. We do not ask for sensitive personal information, and we do not sell or rent information to anyone.

How we use information

We use your information to respond to your inquiry, to administer the program you signed up for, to send occasional updates about UXU programs if you asked for them, and to keep basic records required of a nonprofit organization. We do not use your information for advertising profiles.

Website analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful and where visitors have trouble. This produces aggregate information such as page views and referring sites. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors from analytics data.

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies necessary for the site to function and, where enabled, for aggregate analytics. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser without losing access to the content on this site.

Sharing information

We share information only with service providers that help us operate — for example, an email provider or an event registration platform — and only to the extent needed to deliver the service. We may disclose information if required by law.

Data retention

We keep inquiry and program records only as long as they serve an operational or legal purpose, and we delete or anonymize them when they no longer do.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can unsubscribe from any update email using the link in that email or by contacting us.

Children

Some UXU programs serve students under 18. When a program involves minors, we collect participation information through a parent, guardian, or partnering school, and we limit it to what the program requires.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy we will change the effective date below and post the revised version on this page.
