PROJECT
Research Bookmark
Building a Home for UX Knowledge

OVERVIEW
Research Bookmark began with a simple observation:
The field of user experience was growing rapidly, yet the knowledge that practitioners needed to succeed was scattered across blogs, disconnected tools, and fragmented learning platforms.

UX University set out to solve this problem by creating a centralized platform that organized UX knowledge into a single, accessible resource hub.

What matters is
Research Bookmark brought together curated learning materials, tools, and research frameworks into a structured environment designed for aspiring and experienced practitioners alike.
By applying UX principles to the learning process itself, the platform transformed how people discovered and navigated UX knowledge.

The Challenge
For many professionals entering the UX field, the journey begins with uncertainty. Information exists everywhere—but rarely in a way that is easy to discover, trust, or apply.
Students struggled to identify credible learning resources. Practitioners & UX Mentors spent hours searching for tools and case studies. Organizations seeking to build UX capability lacked a clear starting point for their teams.
The absence of a centralized knowledge system created friction across the entire UX ecosystem.

Our Approach
UX University curated high-quality UX resources, categorized tools, and created navigable learning pathways that helped users move from curiosity to competence.
Every element—from content organization to search functionality—was designed to reduce cognitive load and improve discoverability.

The result was a platform that made the UX knowledge landscape easier to navigate and more accessible to a global audience.

Impact
Research Bookmark helped thousands of professionals discover new tools, deepen their understanding of user research and design, and accelerate their learning journeys.
More importantly, the project demonstrated how applying user experience thinking to education can unlock knowledge for a wider community.
It became one of the earliest examples of UXU’s broader mission: using design thinking and technology to solve real-world problems.
